The cherry tree (Prunus avium) is a fruit tree belonging to the Rosaceae family, naturally found in the South Caucasus, the Caspian Sea region, and Northeast Anatolia. Its spherical or heart-shaped fruits, averaging 2 cm in diameter, have thin skin, are sweet and juicy, and contain a single seed.
